The Paradiso boat station as well as the bus stop are practically in front of the house.
The hotel offers 64 rooms with 145 beds in various categories: Executive, deluxe View, Junior Suites and Suites. All rooms are air-conditioned and have a balcony.
The restaurant Le Gourmet/Giardinetto offers space for around 100 guests. The Panoramica conference room is unique with its wonderful view of the lake & the mountains.
The Bellevue has just been newly certified by Hotellerie-Suisse as a 4-star hotel for tourists and as a seminar hotel. We have also been partners of the largest hotel family worldwide: Best Western, for 20 years.
Tasks
The Governess is part of the management & a key person in the operation. She leads a team of about 4 employees as cameriere ai piani as well as 2-3 employees as portieri ai piani.
The Governess is responsible for the timely availability of the rooms, according to the high standards of management as well as Best Western. She participates in management meetings, creates work schedules for her employees, inspects the rooms, supervises the in-house laundry and the working methods of her team.
The Governess works closely with the reception and the front desk. During times of high occupancy & shortages, she also pitches in herself and helps her team prepare the rooms.
Requirements
At least 3 years as a Governess or 2nd Governess in a 4-star or 5-star hotel in Switzerland, Germany, Italy or France, or in a first-class hotel in another tourist country.
Important prerequisites are also:
Independence, accuracy in work, flexibility, experience
Leadership skills (You lead the largest team in the hotel!)
Understanding of the needs of demanding guests
Resilience and the ability to keep a cool head even in stressful situations
Ability to turn any criticism into a positive event
And last but not least: the self-evidence to pitch in yourself and support your team when needed during shortages and full occupancy. The position of Governess is much more than just a job: Being a Governess is a calling to master this responsible task for the benefit of our guests!
