Social Worker Adoption, temporary 80%Good for life – that is our motto. As part of the Education Directorate of the Canton of Zurich, the Office for Youth and Career Counseling is responsible for the services in the field of child and youth welfare as well as career counseling. Children, adolescents, and families are at the center of our work.
We are looking immediately or by arrangement for a committed professional with solid expertise and a keen sense for Doing Family. In this responsible role, you will assess the suitability of prospective adoptive parents, conduct supervisory visits, and advise, inform, and support adoptive parents, authorities, and those searching for their origins – empathetic, confident, and solution-oriented.
What you bring:
- A Bachelor of Science in Social Work
- Several years of professional experience – ideally in conducting social assessments in the family or child protection area
- High social and professional competence as well as a confident, professional demeanor
- Enjoy working with parents, children, adolescents, and professionals
- A team-oriented, communicative, and open personality
- Independent and structured way of working
- Organizational talent and high resilience
- Enjoy writing and excellent German language skills in spoken and written form
- Good oral English and French skills
