The Geneva Foundation for Sociocultural Animation is a partnership institution, funded by the Canton and municipalities, whose mission is to promote and maintain social cohesion in the canton of Geneva, that is to ensure the quality of the relationship between individuals and society. Through socio-educational, sociocultural, and associative field actions carried out by centers and outreach teams, the Foundation meets the population's needs in terms of meeting, exchange, solidarity, citizenship, and quality of life, with a general objective of preventing social exclusion.
A position for a 75% sociocultural animator is open within the La Boîte intercommunal sociocultural animation system in the Chapelle-Les Sciers neighborhood.
Job Description
- Participate in the development and implementation of the intercommunal sociocultural animation system La Boîte in the Chapelle-Les Sciers neighborhood
- Actively participate in the development, experimentation, and evolution of the activity program
- Be responsible for registered children's receptions, ensuring the pedagogical, educational, and organizational quality of the proposed activities
- Contribute to creating a playful and friendly living environment by investing in public space through the organization and animation of activities for all audiences, promoting meetings and exchanges between people of different ages, cultures, and social backgrounds
- Provide replacements for free children's reception and adolescent sector as needed by the system
- Participate in the co-construction of the future development of sociocultural animation in the neighborhood with residents, local collectives and associations, municipal social workers, and the intercommunal group Le Sapay
- Work within a collegial team under the responsibility of the regional coordinator.
- Participate in the communication of the system and the development of documentation materials
- Assume field, monitoring, and management tasks related to the activities carried out
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in social work (HES level) or equivalent university degree
- Experience in sociocultural animation, with a strong interest in working with children and adolescents
- Experience or interest in implementing participatory projects and network work
- Skills in project design, organization, and management; initiative, versatility, and creativity
- High adaptability within an evolving and constantly developing project
- Ability to work in a collegial team while demonstrating autonomy, rigor, and a sense of responsibility
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, collegial spirit, and sociability
- Ability to work in different locations, including outdoors
- Organizational skills, ability to manage priorities and emergencies
- Comfortable using common computer tools
Additional Information
- Salary according to the Geneva State salary scale: maximum class 15
- Flexible hours, including evenings and weekends;
- Start date: to be agreed.
