The Center for Children with Sensory and Physical Disabilities ZKSK is an interdisciplinary competence center for children and adolescents with physical, sensory, and multiple disabilities in the canton of Solothurn. At four locations, we offer educational support, individual medical and pedagogical therapy services, as well as housing options. We support, advise, and accompany children and families with psychological and medical assessments and therapies.
For our APD team, we are looking for a committed, independent audiopedagogue (special education teacher, kindergarten teacher, teacher, social pedagogue) for the "Schwarzbubenland" region (northern part of the canton) starting March 1, 2026, or by arrangement, with a workload of 30%.
As an experienced professional in special education and/or hearing impairment pedagogy, you will educate children with hearing impairments depending on the situation either in the child's home environment or in regular schools. The majority of the children are of school age and reside in the districts of Dorneck and Thierstein ("Schwarzbubenland"). The possibility of home office exists.
Your tasks
- Individual support of children and adolescents with hearing impairments in early childhood and school settings
- Consultation and support of parents and the environment
- Interdisciplinary collaboration with other professionals
- Independent handling of administrative tasks
Your qualifications
- Degree in school special education and ideally experience in audiopedagogy or willingness to complete this study alongside work, or
- Qualification as a teacher or social pedagogue with several years of experience with hearing-impaired individuals
- Experience in special education, diagnostic assessment, and support planning desired
- Flexible, proactive, and eager to learn personality with quick comprehension, sense of responsibility, and strong team spirit
- Driver's license
