What you can achieve with us

You prepare the horses for therapy and assist the therapeutic riding instructor in the riding therapy. In addition, you help with various tasks around the horses and in the therapy stable. This includes the care and compensatory training of the horses. The therapy always takes place outdoors.
One day a week you support a teacher as a classroom assistant in the school area.

What you bring with you

You are at least 18 years old for this position and ideally have a car license for the bus service from the school for the blind to the therapy stable. You have solid experience in handling horses and bring a certain weather resistance. You enjoy guiding students purposefully and bring the necessary empathy, patience, and sense of humor. A good mental and physical constitution as well as flexibility and teamwork complete your profile. You have good ICT user skills and are also willing to work irregular hours.

Through the internship, you gain deeper insight into working with visually impaired, multiply disabled, or blind children and adolescents and are trained and accompanied by professionals.

You are part of a well-coordinated, professional team that supports each other and learns from one another. We exchange ideas in regular meetings. Informal occasions such as team outings or annual celebrations also have a place with us.

Our clear structures and framework conditions provide security and enable independent work. In addition, you will be carefully trained in the subject area and can continue your education internally.

We are the Foundation for Blind and Visually Impaired Children and Adolescents Zollikofen - a private, politically and denominationally neutral organization with a non-profit purpose. Our task is to support and accompany people with special needs from birth to young adulthood.
