Job Description
As a Tools & Process Coordination Engineer, you will be a detail-oriented engineer supporting CERN's Long Shutdown 3 within the EN-ACE group, with a focus on reliable planning data, planning and reporting tools, and stakeholder support. The role contributes to process harmonisation and workflow optimisation while gaining hands-on experience in large-scale international engineering projects.
Your responsibilities:
- Ensure the quality, accuracy and reliability of planning data while managing and improving CERN's planning tools as Business/Product Owner, including requirements gathering and user support.
- Coordinate planning activities across EN-ACE teams, facilitate user meetings, and prepare documentation, reports, and presentations for management.
- Streamline processes and harmonise workflows within the group.
Your profile:
- Experience/strong knowledge with information systems, planning tools, and data management.
- Experience/strong knowledge in analysing, optimising, and improving processes, with the ability to coordinate stakeholders and support cross-functional activities.
- Experience/strong knowledge in information structuring and quality management.
Skills:
- Good understanding of engineering (mechanical, electrical, or industrial, or equivalent).
- Strong communication, organizational skills, and problem-solving skills.
- Competencies in analysing, optimising, and improving processes, with the ability to coordinate stakeholders and support cross-functional activities.
- Spoken and written both English and French.
Eligibility criteria:
- You are a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State .
- By the application deadline, you have a maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation in Management engineering (or a related field) and your highest educational qualification is either a Bachelor's or Master's degree.
- You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.
- Applicants without University degree are not eligible.
- Applicants with a PhD are not eligible.
Additional Information
Job closing date: 09.03.2026 at 23:59 CET.
Contract duration: 24 months, with a possible extension up to 36 months maximum.
Working hours: 40 hours per week
Job flexibility: Fully Onsite
Target start date: 01-April-2026
