Your main tasks

• Technical and personnel leadership of the team in the area of Storage, Compute & Hypervisor
• Further development of team members as well as promotion of know-how and best practices
• Planning, implementation, and operation of virtual infrastructures based on hypervisors
• Responsibility for backup and recovery solutions with Veeam Backup & Replication
• Coordination and execution of system installations and upgrades at customer sites or remotely
• Ensuring system performance, availability, and capacity
• Support in error analysis and escalations at second and third level
• Participation and leadership of projects around virtualization, storage, backup, and cloud integration
• Documentation of system landscapes and configurations
• Design, installation, and maintenance of storage systems (especially NetApp)

Your strengths and knowledge

• Several years of professional experience in system engineering, ideally in virtualization and storage
• Experience in technical leadership and a clear ambition to take on responsibility as a team leader
• Solid knowledge of common hypervisor environments
• Experience in operation and design of NetApp storage systems
• Good knowledge of Veeam Backup & Replication (backup, restore, replication)
• Huawei storage or server know-how is a plus
• Understanding of IT infrastructure, networks, and security
• Experience in direct customer contact and on-site installations
• Knowledge of ticketing systems and monitoring tools
• Willingness for continuous training and certification (e.g., NetApp, Veeam)
• Very good German skills, good English skills in spoken and written form
• Independent, structured, and reliable working style with joy in teamwork
