Job Description
We are looking for a committed and empathetic assistant physician for our outpatient psychiatry team in Biel, Switzerland. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a psychiatrist to provide high-quality psychiatric care in a supportive and professional environment.
- Conduct psychiatric assessments and diagnose mental disorders in the outpatient setting
- Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans tailored to the individual needs of patients
- Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications and monitor their effectiveness and side effects
- Conduct psychotherapy sessions using evidence-based techniques
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic patient care
- Maintain accurate and detailed electronic medical records
- Participate in case conferences and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
- Stay updated on the latest developments in psychiatric research and treatment modalities
- Adhere to Swiss health regulations and ethical standards in psychiatric practice
Qualifications
We are looking for a qualified and committed professional to strengthen our psychiatric team. The ideal candidate has:
- Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from a recognized institution
- Current specialist training in psychiatry
- Valid Swiss medical license (MEBEKO registration)
- Comprehensive knowledge of psychiatric disorders and treatments
- Strong ability for detailed and individualized patient care
- Excellent teamwork skills
- Fluent command of the German language; knowledge of French is an advantage
- Experience in psychiatric care (inpatient experience is an advantage)
- Understanding of the Swiss healthcare system and relevant legislation
