Job Description

We are looking for a committed and empathetic assistant physician for our outpatient psychiatry team in Biel, Switzerland. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a psychiatrist to provide high-quality psychiatric care in a supportive and professional environment.

• Conduct psychiatric assessments and diagnose mental disorders in the outpatient setting
• Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans tailored to the individual needs of patients
• Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications and monitor their effectiveness and side effects
• Conduct psychotherapy sessions using evidence-based techniques
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic patient care
• Maintain accurate and detailed electronic medical records
• Participate in case conferences and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
• Stay updated on the latest developments in psychiatric research and treatment modalities
• Adhere to Swiss health regulations and ethical standards in psychiatric practice

Qualifications

We are looking for a qualified and committed professional to strengthen our psychiatric team. The ideal candidate has:

• Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from a recognized institution
• Current specialist training in psychiatry
• Valid Swiss medical license (MEBEKO registration)
• Comprehensive knowledge of psychiatric disorders and treatments
• Strong ability for detailed and individualized patient care
• Excellent teamwork skills
• Fluent command of the German language; knowledge of French is an advantage
• Experience in psychiatric care (inpatient experience is an advantage)
• Understanding of the Swiss healthcare system and relevant legislation
