Automation Engineer (Hardware)

Mission

As an Automation Engineer within the R&D department of a product line at BOBST, you will be responsible for the design and integration of automated systems for our industrial equipment in close collaboration with the software and mechanical teams.

Contract type: Permanent

Key responsibilities

• Define the electrical architecture of new products.
• Size the sensors and actuators necessary for machine functions.
• Select components in partnership with internal departments and suppliers.
• Ensure reliable, high-performance, and economically optimized solutions.
• Develop functional electrical diagrams, including safety aspects.
• Assume a technical reference role for Electrical Designers.
• Participate in commissioning and validation of functions on site or at customers.

Profile sought

• ES Technician or Bachelor in Electrical Engineering or Automation.
• Minimum 1 to 3 years experience in a similar role.
• Mastery of electrotechnics and motion control.
• Knowledge of ECAD tools (ideally E3.series).
• Professional level proficiency in French and English.
