Your job in brief
- Listen, understand, review and improve: This is your toolbox with which you, as a Service Owner, further develop our IT landscape.
- You are responsible as a Service Owner for the entire lifecycle of Linux & Automation and ensure that the service is strategically aligned, automated and operated economically.
- You coordinate requirements, monitor the performance and quality of the service provided by the provider, and ensure compliance with security and compliance requirements. You also take over communication with relevant stakeholders and manage the provider.

Your tasks:
- You manage and monitor the services of our service provider in the area of Linux & Automation
- You plan, coordinate, and implement RHEL 10 in the corporate infrastructure
- You design, manage, and coordinate automation and orchestration solutions (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, Puppet)
- You integrate modern monitoring and observability platforms (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus) as well as secrets management and security solutions (e.g., HashiCorp Vault)
- You develop and monitor quality gates to ensure service quality
- You create clear technical specifications in English and ensure their implementation
- You work closely with architects, engineers, and other service owners to standardize and further develop the infrastructure
- You convince as a team player with clear communication, high service orientation, and a constructive attitude.

We are a versatile team of eight service owners in the Group IT of Baloise and ensure that our platform and infrastructure services run smoothly within the group. What defines us? You additionally shine with your very good knowledge of the administrative tasks of Microsoft SQL Server (this includes general administration and skills in performance, high availability, disaster recovery, resource management, troubleshooting, storage, networking, patch and integration management ...).
Your professional qualifications:
- University degree in computer science or comparable professional experience
- Deep technical expertise in Linux server operation (RHEL, ideally experience with RHEL 9/10)
- Solid knowledge of automation and orchestration technologies (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, Puppet)
- Experience with monitoring and observability solutions (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus)
- Knowledge in secrets management and security solutions (e.g., HashiCorp Vault)
- Experience in service management (ITIL is an advantage)
- Ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly and understandably
- Fluent German and very good English skills in spoken and written form
