Welcome to the fascinating world of taxes! The cantonal tax office, together with the municipal tax offices, collects taxes for the federal government, the canton, and the municipalities. We support private individuals and companies throughout the entire tax collection process. Around 800 qualified employees are committed to this at the location in Zurich Altstetten.
Our department "Digital Services" is the heartbeat for everything related to IT, specialized applications, operations, projects, support, IT security, interfaces, change and release management, etc. in the tax sector. Over one million private individuals and companies entrust us with their tax data annually. They also rely on our online portals being (almost) always available. Over 2,500 cantonal and municipal employees use our approximately 90 specialized applications. You love direct customer contact and keep a cool head even in stressful situations? Then become part of our well-coordinated six-person team "Specialized App Support Digital Offering" and support us with first and second level support at our hotline! Together we ensure that our customers receive quick and competent help.
To strengthen our team "Specialized App Support Digital Offering," we are looking for a solution-oriented, communicative, and independent personality by agreement.
Your tasks:
- You ensure 1st and 2nd level support via hotline for our specialized applications (e.g., ZHprivateTax, ZHcorporateTax) and competently support our external and partly internal customers.
- You recognize recurring incidents, initiate measures (Incident & Problem Management), and ensure sustainable solutions.
- You work closely with other internal 2nd level support units as needed, sometimes with application managers (AV), operations managers (BV), and other support units, and support communication as well as knowledge transfer.
- You take ownership of customer inquiries and accompany our customers with their support requests until resolution.
- You create and maintain instructions and contributions in the Knowledge Management System.
- You actively contribute your knowledge in working groups, represent the department in selected committees, and support projects.
- You support the team leader "Specialized App Support Digital Offering" in coordinating topics and act as a representative in operational matters.
Your profile:
- You have completed basic training as an IT specialist, in commercial or technical fields (EFZ), ideally supplemented by higher professional training (e.g., HF in a relevant field, Microsoft admin certifications, ITIL) or you are a career changer with good IT affinity and strong willingness to learn.
- You have solid experience in specialized application support and feel confident in contact with demanding customers, even in stressful or conflict situations.
- You enjoy working on the phone, work structured and independently, like creating instructions, and recognize optimization potentials in daily operations.
- You communicate fluently in German and have good English skills; any additional foreign language is a plus.
- You are willing to occasionally work weekend shifts during the high season if needed.
