Correctional Services and Reintegration (JuWe) is part of the Directorate of Justice and the Interior of the Canton of Zurich and is responsible for penal and measure enforcement as well as the implementation of various types of detention. For our 1,400 employees from around 40 professions, the successful social reintegration of offenders, the prevention of recidivism, as well as the detention and preparation of the departure of persons without a valid residence permit are of particular importance.
The Center for Foreign Administrative Detention (ZAA) is part of the enforcement facilities of the Canton of Zurich (VEZ) – one of seven main departments of JuWe – and is an institution specialized in the enforcement of measures according to the Foreigners and Integration Act. The ZAA offers space for around 130 admitted persons.

- to support the center management in operational and strategic daily business and to take responsibility for the institution
- to ensure clear and effective internal and external communication and actively contribute to the further development of the center
- to responsibly lead risk and quality management and continuously optimize processes and workflows
- to promote employees and team leaders in their professional and personal development, refine training and introduction concepts, and foster a motivating work culture
- to actively participate and also lead projects and development tasks (e.g., organizational and restructuring projects, care concepts) and support cross-departmental collaboration within the office
You fit with us if…
- you have a higher education (FH / University) at Master level (business, social sciences, law, or similar) as well as further training in leadership/management and can demonstrate experience in a similar role
- you bring several years of leadership experience as well as experience in project management and risk management and preferably have knowledge of the world of correctional services
- you have excellent language skills in German (foreign languages are an advantage) and very good knowledge of common IT tools
- you are a person with an independent, reliable, and service-oriented working style, a high quality awareness, great personal responsibility, and describe yourself as a team player and resilient
- you are willing to take on on-call duties in the evenings, nights, and weekends
- you can demonstrate an impeccable reputation
