The University of Bern educates over 19,400 students and employs more than 8,000 staff across around 150 institutes, nine competence centers, and the central administration. For research, teaching, and services, it uses a diverse spatial infrastructure spread over approximately 130 properties.
The Operations and Technology Department is part of the Administrative Directorate and is responsible for the efficient and economical operation of all buildings used by the University – in operational, technical, and safety aspects. Strategic Facility Management (SFM) designs and controls the FM services of the University. In addition, we are driving digitalization in facility management – and we are looking for you for this!
Tasks
- Further development and integration of the FM systems Planon (CAFM) and SAP
- Maintenance, analysis, and preparation of FM data to support decision-making processes
- Co-design of the digital transformation in facility management
- Conducting internal training and user support
- Participation in projects for digitalization and process optimization
- Close collaboration with internal departments and external partners
- Support of the FM team in daily tasks
Requirements
- Completed education (EFZ) with further training or studies in real estate management, facility management, business administration, computer science, or comparable qualification
- Several years of experience in facility management, ideally in a complex institution or public administration
- Experience in building, applying, introducing, and supporting FM systems (CAFM, e.g., Planon) and ERP systems (SAP)
- Enjoyment of data, digitalization, and process design, combined with analytical thinking and initiative
- Team and communication skills as well as didactic ability for training and user support
