What to expect
- Technical and personnel leadership of an engineering team (2–4 people) with a focus on continuous development, personal responsibility, and technical excellence
- Close collaboration with product management, stakeholders, and other engineering teams to successfully implement requirements in product data management
- Active participation in the design and development of sustainable, scalable solutions as well as in shaping the software architecture
- Responsibility for the entire feature lifecycle – from requirements analysis through implementation to go-live
- Application of modern architecture and development patterns such as DDD, SCS, Micro-Frontends, and Data Mesh
- Ensuring code quality, testing, and documentation through code reviews, pair programming, and optimized DevOps processes
- Evaluation of new technologies and implementation of proven best practices for technological advancement
- Proactive identification and reduction of technical debt
- Cross-team coordination to implement technical requirements with a view of the big picture
- Willingness for pragmatic deployments – even on Fridays
What you bring
- Several years of experience (at least 5 years) in software development, including at least 1 year in a leadership role; ideally in the e-commerce environment
- Solid knowledge of modern backend/frontend technologies, cloud architectures, as well as experience with CI/CD and DevOps
- Familiarity with modular software architecture, interface design, and asynchronous data processing
- Practical experience in applying DDD, SCS, Micro-Frontends, and Data Mesh
- Experience in introducing and maintaining efficient product data strategies and PIM processes
- Knowledge of Team Topologies and their use in designing effective team structures
- High conceptual and analytical competence combined with strong customer and solution orientation
- Excellent communication skills and leadership mentality – empathetic, clear, and motivating
- Completed studies in (business) informatics or an equivalent qualification
- Interest in technology trends and active exchange in the developer community (e.g., via open source)
