For our office in Basel in the field of healthcare and laboratory construction, we are looking for you as a Construction Manager Laboratory (m/f/d) for the New Building Project Department of Biomedicine (DBM). In a central location in Basel, Implenia is realizing an eight-story laboratory building as a general contractor on the Life Science Campus for the medical future and future teaching for around 900 employees and 200 students. What you will do

• Review and support of laboratory tenders
• Technical evaluation of offers
• Negotiations and awards
• Responsible for construction management of laboratory, animal husbandry, laboratory areas
• Leading the on-site construction management for laboratory technology
• Procurement and verification of plans at the start of execution
• Participation in negotiations with contractors and suppliers
• Leadership/coordination of subcontractors of laboratory trades, technical guidance of fitters and apprentices
• Quality control of ongoing construction execution including documentation
• Creation of the construction journal and recording of protocols

Why you will succeed

• A completed degree in industrial engineering, chemistry, biology, or similar, or
• A completed technical/scientific vocational training
• Experience as a laboratory planner, laboratory technician, or laboratory specialist
• Professional experience as a construction manager laboratory on larger construction sites or experience as a construction manager in the execution of various laboratory projects
• A high level of organizational skills and good self-management
• Team-oriented, cooperative personality, able to take responsibility
• Ability to implement high project quality without neglecting deadlines and costs
• Familiarity with the general contractor environment
