About the job
We are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Chef de Rang to join our Food & Beverage team at The View Lugano. In this role, you will support our Fine Dining Restaurant, our Bistrot, and our beautiful panoramic terrace. Your responsibilities will include managing table orders, preparing beverages, and assisting with room service, ensuring a seamless and elevated guest experience across all outlets.
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee your station’s mise-en-place and service flow, ensuring tables are perfectly set and service readiness meets the hotel’s luxury standards.
- Welcome guests, present menus, and provide informed guidance on dishes, ingredients, and suitable pairings, tailoring recommendations to preferences and dietary needs.
- Deliver and coordinate food service with elegance and precision, including carrying plates, serving, clearing, and maintaining flawless timing with the kitchen.
- Ensure seamless communication between guests, kitchen, and F&B team, accurately taking orders, managing special requests, and anticipating guest needs throughout the meal.
- Support daily restaurant and event operations, assisting the Shift leader and ensuring smooth execution during peak service and special occasions.
- Perform refined tableside service when required, such as dish presentation in line with property standards.
- Maintain impeccable service standards and hygiene, keeping the station clean, organized, and compliant with safety procedures and internal SOPs.
- Act as an ambassador ofTHE VIEW Lugano F&B philosophy, delivering attentive, personalized, and memorable experiences while handling feedback discreetly and professionally.
