Job Description

As an employee in the synthesis pilot (Chemical Operator Synthesis Pilot Plant), you will significantly contribute to the technical processing of Syngenta's development pipeline and be involved in the development and testing of new processes. In a three-shift system, you will produce chemical intermediates and active substances and ensure that the products are delivered on time and in the required quality.

Your tasks:

• Production of chemical intermediates and active substances according to pilot regulations with precise documentation of observations and processes
• Compliance with applicable Health, Safety & Environment ("HSE") regulations and risk analyses as well as exemplary safety awareness
• Operation of systems both manually and via the process control system
• Assembly and provision of production facilities according to the specifications of a pilot regulation
• Carrying out safety, maintenance, and control work as well as simple repairs and revisions
• Reporting of incidents, technical malfunctions, and unsafe actions as well as suggesting appropriate corrective and preventive measures

Qualifications

• Completed training as a chemical technician or chemical and pharmaceutical technologist
• Fluent German skills (spoken & written), English skills (spoken) are an advantage
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Technical and practical expertise with flexibility in solving tasks
• Experience in dealing with process control systems
• Willingness to participate in fire or medical services
