In summer, around 150 Valais Blacknose sheep graze on the Gornergrat and can be visited in the wild. For our summer offer "Meet the Sheep" at the Gornergrat, we are looking for committed and reliable individuals in July and August 2026 who enjoy guest contact and want to actively help shape a unique nature and cultural experience. The focus is on respect for animals and nature, confident interaction with guests, and independent work in an alpine environment.
Your Area of Responsibility
- Covering the day off of the Meet the Sheep guest supervisor
- Supporting the guest supervisor from Friday to Sunday, especially on busy days (Friday to Sunday)
- Friendly first contact with guests
- Assisting in enforcing the rules of conduct
- Relieving pressure during high visitor numbers
Your Profile
- Respectful attitude and interest in working with Blacknose sheep
- You enjoy working with international guests
- Very good oral skills in English and German
- Reliable, independent working style and enjoyment of outdoor work
- Residence in Zermatt or surrounding area is an advantage
- No prior knowledge required
