The position is attached to the Operations Department . This department's mission is to ensure the stewardship and logistics necessary for the proper functioning of all HUG, in terms of catering, cleaning and disinfection of premises, and laundry hygiene. It also manages the sterilization service, the biomedical and equipment service, as well as Cressy-Santé. More than 1,350 professionals carry out their missions daily with constant attention to quality, a sense of service, and environmental responsibility.
The Social and Environmental Responsibility (SER) unit's mission is to lead the Sustainability Strategy 2030 for the entire institution and coordinate its implementation in close collaboration with all hospital departments and management.
Job Description
You join the SER unit and assist the unit manager and the SER team in developing and implementing the sustainability strategy, the mobility plan, and the carbon footprint calculation of hospital activities. You actively contribute to awareness projects and events led by the SER unit.
You collect and process data as part of the sustainability strategy action plan.
You collaborate with the Communication Department to create and develop various internal awareness content and materials.
You contribute to organizing and coordinating events on sustainability and mobility themes, advise on best practices, and respond to questions to promote sustainability and sustainable mobility within HUG.
Additionally, you participate in the daily organization of the unit, for example, preparing and organizing meetings, maintaining dashboards, etc.
Qualifications
You are currently pursuing a Master's degree in the field of environment, sustainable development, or health and must complete a mandatory internship as part of your university curriculum.
Experience in engagement and awareness on environmental or sustainability topics during your studies, internship, or associative, volunteer, or other activities would be a plus.
You have good synthesis skills, excellent writing and oral presentation abilities.
You are pragmatic, organized, and also have good interpersonal and listening skills.
You know how to work in a team and have a collaborative spirit. You are autonomous and ensure smooth information flow.
You are comfortable with common office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and content creation tools (presentations, animations, etc.).
You have a good level of written English.

This internship is only accessible to individuals required to complete an internship as part of their academic curriculum (internship subject to ECTS credits) and requires the establishment of an internship agreement.
