Key responsibilities
As Director Key Account Management, you will be accountable for driving revenue and profitability with some of our most important customers (including Amplifon and Specsavers). You will combine strategic foresight with operational excellence, ensuring sustainable growth, customer satisfaction, and strong financial performance.
Your responsibilities include:
- Sales strategy & execution: Build strong relationships with key customer stakeholders, local sales organizations, and HQ functions to deliver joint business success.
- Account leadership: Ensure revenue and profit targets are achieved by leveraging product launches, driving growth initiatives, and negotiating favorable agreements.
- Operational excellence: Monitor performance KPIs, challenge existing models, and implement improvements that increase productivity and customer value.
- Project management: Drive the implementation of sales strategy by leading high-impact initiatives and influencing key stakeholders across markets and assigned accounts
- Financial responsibility: Manage approx. CHF 100m in revenue, ensuring strong cost control and profit improvement.
- Leadership: Inspire collaboration across geographies and functions, acting as a role model for Sonova’s values.
What we’re looking for
We are seeking a highly capable and hands-on leader who can seamlessly navigate both strategic initiatives and significant operational responsibilities. The ideal candidate brings:
- Fact-based decision making & financial acumen: A demonstrated ability to make sound decisions based on thorough data analysis and logical reasoning, coupled with a strong understanding of financial drivers to identify and execute profit improvement initiatives.
- Proven capabilities: Excellent communication, negotiation, influencing skills with senior management, as well as relationship building with key customers.
- Industry-specific expertise: A deep understanding of our products and processes, particularly those related to the value chain (OPS), product marketing, and quality.
- Operational acumen: A pragmatic, “hands-on” approach with the ability to balance strategic thinking and day-to-day execution.
- Education: Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or similar.
- Languages: Fluent English; German and/or Italian are a plus.
- Personality: Entrepreneurial mindset, proactive style, and passion for delivering results in complex, cross-cultural environments.
