SwissRDL is a centre of excellence for Medical Registries and Data Linkage and part of the Institute of Social and Preventive Medicine (ISPM), University of Bern. We develop, maintain, support, monitor and analyse medical registries in a range of disciplines relevant to medical research and public health.
Join our dynamic team of software developers, data managers, project managers, epidemiologists, and statisticians. By developing reports and statistical applications, you will play a key role in improving the quality of care. The duties and responsibilities of this role include:
- Create and maintain standardized reports, e.g. benchmark or annual reports
- Develop and maintain dashboards using R Shiny
- Independently prepare, validate, monitor, and analyse data from medical registries
- Support team members and external clients in data analysis and interpretation
- Collaborate and communicate with external partners, including providing methodological input
- Contribute to final reports, publications, and research projects
Qualifications and skills:
- Master's degree or PhD (or equivalent) in Statistics, Data Science, Epidemiology, Public Health, Social Sciences or a related field, with a strong empirical and quantitative focus
- Experience (at least 2-3 years) in applied Data Science, Statistics or Epidemiology, in either a practical or academic setting
- Experience with real-world health data or registry data is an advantage
- Experience in statistical programming and data visualization using R and R Shiny. Additional experience with tools such as STATA or Python is an asset
- Basic understanding of epidemiological concepts and medical data is desirable
- Interest in innovative approaches such as AI and large language models (LLMs)
- Fluent in German, French or Italian with very good knowledge of English (team language)
- Strong service orientation and team player
