The Department of Medicine (D-MED) consists of 14 medical-care entities (12 medical services, 1 Unit for Investigation and Short Treatments (UITB), and the Blood Transfusion Center (CTS)) with the particularity of including technical platforms in its organization (including interventional cardiology and digestive and pulmonary endoscopy), several treatment and care platforms (biological treatments, photopheresis, and medical care), 1 hospital and outpatient dialysis center. 3 rehabilitation and reconditioning programs. Furthermore, the medical-care activity is strongly dedicated to inpatients (9 care units, 160 beds) with internal consultants benefiting the patient care provided by other medical departments.
Job Description
Within the team of the Admission and Billing Center of the Department of Medicine (CAF), you are responsible for the quality of admission data, the quality, completeness, and timeliness of billing.
You lead the Admission and Billing Center of the Department of Medicine (CAF), composed of a team of more than 30 people who work according to their skills in patient admissions and/or service billing.
The Medicine CAF manages outpatient billing for 4 departments of the HUG (Department of Medicine, Department of Primary Care Medicine, Department of Oncology, and Department of Acute Medicine) for a turnover of several hundred million, almost 40% of the outpatient revenue of the HUG.
The Medicine CAF manages outpatient admissions (almost 200,000 outpatient cases) for the entire Department of Medicine, across different geographical sites.
You participate in numerous continuous improvement projects (e.g., tariff structure change).
You participate in the permanent bodies of the Finance Directorate and in commissions or institutional project groups.
You ensure the quality of the implementation of admission and billing processes.
Qualifications
You hold a Bachelor from HEG complemented by a MAS in health institution management.
You have perfect mastery of the French language. You have knowledge of English or another language.
You master HUG software (GRECO, DPI, DPA, etc.).
You have 3 to 5 years of prior experience in a field related to reception and/or health.
You have tact, courtesy, and a keen sense of human relations. You possess strong stress resistance and demonstrate discretion.
