You take an active role in capability building on IL6S work processes and establishe continuous improvement as living culture by permanently challenging the status quo and behaviors of all employees at the plant to deliver conversion productivity targets and support delivery of other functional goals (safety, quality, service). You ensure that the capabilities built are maintained and the site continues its drive towards zero losses. This role is part of the R2S (Run to Standards) plan.
How you will contribute
You will:
- Lead the IL6S program for the site and ensure maintenance of the capabilities and improvement as new end-to-end capabilities are defined.
- Be instrumental in achieving the plant conversion productivity target and identifying opportunities to close potential gaps. Govern the productivity process in the plant.
- Develop an IL6S roadmap / master plan and Hoshin Kanri (Strategic Plan) annually linked to the site CBN and provides assistance for the execution.
- Ensure regular gap-analysis to define potential improvements and create action plans for achieving the desired status; involving all required employees and functions in the change process, including the core team, Line Leaders and Managers.
- Own and govern the site wide Loss analysis and Loss elimination program to achieve business targets.
- Support all pillars to achieve IL6S Zero Loss Journey (ZLJ) target.
- Develop and execute the plant Global Efficiency (GE) roadmap.
- Build a close partnership with the Center of Excellence functions and regional/global IL6S network.
- Be responsible for site’s progress on IL6S phases and provides coaching to the sister sites IL6S team.
- Work with the IL6S Engineers and the core team to build capability and drive loss understanding and loss eradication.
- Initiate and support training and induction programs in the plants by using existing tools from the IL6S toolbox. Conducts various trainings on IL6S topics.
- Coach, mentor and support the IL6S engineers.
- Coach all pillars for the site and be a key member of another pillar;
- Lead Kaizen, FMEA (Failure mode and effects analyses), Kubetsu Kaizen (Focused improvement), etc. workshops.
- Maintain the IL6S matrix and ensure IL6S engineering development and advancement on both technical and leadership skills.
- Utilize the Gemba system by spending at least 25% of the time on the shop floor.
- Lead and support benchmarking and sharing best practices.
- Conduct recruitment, onboarding, 1 to 1, Mid-year and End-year performance reviews.
- Know and meet all relevant QA and HSE requirements (GMP, HACCP, ISO, Safety, Security, Environment).
- Know the ethical and legal compliance responsibilities of the position; lead ethically and model compliant behavior; ensure employees in area of responsibility understand the compliance responsibilities of their jobs and actively participate in the compliance program.
- Perform other tasks and responsibilities required by management, when needed.
What you will bring

- Bachelor’s degree specializing in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Food Science/Technology;
- Experience in managing change and complex projects
- Fluency in English and good knowledge of German language (B2)
