Graubünden Public Health Office | 80% | Chur
As a service directly subordinate to the Department of Justice, Security and Health, the Public Health Office is responsible for tasks within the health sector delegated to it by law and ordinances. It is particularly responsible for healthcare as well as disease prevention, insofar as these are cantonal tasks. Essentially, the activities of the Public Health Office can be divided into the following areas: authorizations and supervision of professions and institutions in the health sector, cantonal medical service, control of therapeutic agents and narcotics, health promotion and prevention, as well as controlling within the framework of granting cantonal subsidies to eligible health sector institutions.
The legal service is responsible for supervision of persons and companies in the health sector in the legal areas assigned to the Public Health Office according to federal and cantonal law (Health Act, Therapeutic Products Act, Medical Professions Act, Health Professions Act, Epidemics Act, Health Insurance Act). It provides advice and support to the service and specialist sections on legal matters, provides legal information in the health sector, and coordinates the implementation of the health insurance obligation with the Confederation and the Canton.
For the Public Health Office, we are looking for a legal collaborator for the legal service starting on a date to be agreed.
Tasks
- Conducting administrative and disciplinary procedures in the area of supervisory law as well as criminal proceedings in the area of offenses, particularly managing proceedings and drafting public health police decisions
- Conducting procedures concerning release from professional secrecy
- Drafting statements in appeal procedures concerning supervisory law
- Processing requests under the Transparency Act
- Supporting municipalities in implementing the health insurance obligation
- Legal investigations in the health sector
- Legal advice to specialist sections
- Collaboration with specialists in the service in the fields of medicine, dentistry, and therapeutic agents
- Drafting statements for the Department or the Confederation
What we expect from you
- Completed studies in law, preferably with a lawyer's license
- Several years of professional experience within public administration, in the judicial field, or at a law firm
- Independent and precise working method
- Willingness to take on responsibility
- Ability to work in a team, strong social skills
- Ability to think analytically, structurally, and conceptually

- Skills in interdisciplinary exchanges
- Linguistic skills and confidence in oral and written expression
- Good computer skills
