The High Court of the Canton of Zurich is on the one hand an appellate court in civil and criminal matters and also includes the commercial court. On the other hand, it is responsible for the independent judicial administration of the Zurich civil and criminal courts as well as for the notarial system.
The II. Criminal Chamber mainly handles appeals against district court criminal judgments. The proceedings are usually oral. To strengthen our team, we are looking for a committed and motivated personality as of March 1, 2026, or by arrangement, initially limited until January 31, 2027, as

Tasks
As a court clerk, you will work closely with the process officer in preparing and drafting decisions, which will also be entrusted to you for independent proposal submission. You participate in court hearings with an advisory vote and keep the minutes. In addition, you will be responsible for handling written appeal procedures and revision requests, conduct legal clarifications, prepare exposés on fundamental issues, and draft procedural orders and decisions.
Requirements
- Completed law degree, preferably with a lawyer's license
- Very good legal knowledge
- Court experience or professional experience in advocacy or prosecution
- Precise linguistic expression, high independence, exact and efficient working method
- Team-oriented, helpful, and positive personality
