Your Future Tasks
- Database Development & Operations: You plan, develop, and maintain high-performance database solutions on Db2 for z/OS for business-critical applications.
- Optimization & Performance: You analyze database landscapes purposefully and implement effective optimization measures to ensure stability and efficiency.
- Consulting & Support: You accompany teams as a subject matter expert for database topics, provide recommendations on technologies and development approaches, and actively support their implementation.
- Automation & Efficiency Improvement: You work on the automation of administrative and operational processes around databases to make daily work more efficient and user-friendly.
- Teamwork & Co-Creation: You contribute with personal responsibility and innovative spirit to cross-departmental projects - together in the team, you develop sustainable solutions.
What You Bring
- You have a degree or comparable qualification as well as several years of experience in database administration or development.
- You bring solid knowledge in dealing with relational database systems (e.g., Db2 for z/OS, PostgreSQL, CockroachDB) as well as NoSQL technologies (like MongoDB, Redis). You also feel confident in the areas of SQL performance tuning and the use of common tools and methods for database development.
- You work solution-oriented, independently, and enjoy continuous learning.
- Team interaction and communication with clients are important to you - you actively contribute to knowledge transfer.
- You use digital tools confidently for collaboration across locations.
- Knowledge of cloud databases, z/OS infrastructure, or container technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is desirable.
- Experience with automated processes or monitoring tools rounds off your profile.
- You communicate confidently in German (C1 level) and have good English skills.
