- Understand technological situation: able to identify our technology gaps for the mid- long-term product roadmap and propose solutions to support next product development in collaboration with product manager.
- Investigate technological ecosystem:
evaluate state of the art and the readiness of a specific technology, clarify the competitor situation, identify actors like start-ups, institutes and universities. - Sensoric development, investigation:
understand limitation and potential improvement of current sensors and technology (capacitive and optic), improve, develop and test new capabilities and technologies. - Functional module / prototype development: hands-on mind-set for elaboration of proof of concepts and integration in larger system.
- Transfer to development phase:
support our development team for the transfer of the technology into the development phase, contribute to the optimization of the design for industrial environment (robustness, serialization, ease of use, modularity, etc). - Stakeholder collaboration: work closely with different departments (product managers, sales, service technicians) and global technology centers to understand requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Education: Master or PhD degree in physics, engineering or a related field.
- Experience:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in sensoric development with experience in bringing a product from development to industrialization phase.
- Experience with capacitive measurement technique and/or optic is an important advantage
- Skills:
Strong analytical skills. Self-driven. Balance between theory and hands-on mind set. Dare to try and fail. - Communication: good verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts.
