Account Director (f/m/d) Public Services
Lead Digital Transformation Across the Public Sector
As an Account Director (f/m/d) for Public Services, you will empower public sector organizations to achieve meaningful and sustainable impact through SAP’s cloud innovation portfolio. Based in Zurich and reporting to the Head of Public Services, Healthcare & Utilities Switzerland, you will own a portfolio of strategic customers and guide their transformation journey toward the intelligent enterprise. This is a role for a consultative sales leader who combines strategic vision, commercial acumen, and a passion for public value.
Your Key Responsibilitie
Account Leadership & Customer Success
- Act as the end-to-end owner for your accounts — driving cloud subscription growth and fostering trusted C-level partnerships.
- Lead RISE with SAP and broader cloud transformation initiatives that help customers achieve operational excellence and digital resilience.
- Develop and execute strategic account plans focused on long-term value creation and consistent revenue performance.
- Deeply understand each customer’s business priorities, technology landscape, and market context to anticipate needs and deliver tailored solutions.
Demand Generation & Pipeline Management
- Drive a healthy, predictable sales pipeline through disciplined forecasting and proactive opportunity management.
- Collaborate with marketing, inside sales, and partners to identify, shape, and accelerate demand.
- Position SAP’s integrated cloud, industry, and line-of-business solutions to address customer-specific challenges and strategic goals.
Sales Excellence
- Identify white space within existing accounts and execute cross-sell and up-sell initiatives.
- Orchestrate internal and external stakeholders for successful deal execution, embracing the OneSAP approach.
- Stay ahead of market and competitive trends to articulate SAP’s unique differentiators with clarity and authority.
- Maintain CRM accuracy and ensure transparent communication across all sales motions.
- Encourage customer participation in SAP communities, programs, and innovation events.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead high-performing, cross-functional account teams to align execution with strategic outcomes.
- Ensure all team members and partners are fully prepared and positioned for customer engagements.
- Leverage SAP’s extended ecosystem to maximize customer value and strengthen long-term relationships.
Your Profile
- Proven track records of success in positioning Cloud software licence solutions with consistent overachievement of targets.
- Deep experience and understanding of the Public Sector landscape in Switzerland.
- Several years of experience in complex enterprise software / IT solution sales and large-scale transformation projects.
- Strong negotiation, deal management, and executive engagement skills.
- Strategic mindset, creativity, and the ability to translate innovation into business outcomes.
- Business fluency in German and proficiency in English required.
