The HFR Fribourg site has a versatile anesthesia service with a medical team of 13 senior physicians, 13 chief physicians, and 20 assistant physicians, performing 13,000 procedures per year for almost all age groups and specialties, except for cardiac surgery, transplantation, and surgery for small children. It provides a 24/7 emergency service as well as intra-hospital resuscitation. It has a pre-anesthesia consultation. The chronic pain unit performs around 3,500 services per year, including consultations and therapeutic procedures. The service is recognized as a training center A2 and participates in the training of Master's students from the University of Fribourg.

Chief Physician or Deputy Chief Physician

100% (Fixed-term for 1 year)

Your mission:

• ensure quality care for patients according to current professional standards
• supervise the activity and training of assistant physicians
• participate in the training of assistant physicians, nurses, and interns present in the service
• participate in clinical activity in an interdisciplinary team
• participate in continuing education and postgraduate training and in university teaching

Your profile:

• completed training in anesthesia or in the process of obtaining the FMH title or equivalent recognized at the Swiss level
• proficiency in French or German with good knowledge of the other language
• motivated to contribute to a good working atmosphere and appreciate collegial exchange

They perform around 13,000 medical procedures annually in almost all age groups and specialties, except for cardiac surgery, transplantation, and procedures for small children. The anesthesia department includes a 24-hour emergency service, on-site resuscitation, and an anesthesia consultation. Additionally, the chronic pain department performs around 3,500 services per year, including consultations and therapeutic measures. The anesthesia department is recognized as a training institution of category A2 and participates in the training of Master's students at the University of Fribourg.

Tasks

Profile

• Completed training in anesthesia or ongoing training for the FMH specialist title or equivalent training recognized in Switzerland
• German or French with good knowledge of the other language
