Internship Social Worker Mobile Intervention in Youth Crises AJB, 6 - 8 months from August 2026 60 - 80%Good for life – that is our motto. As part of the Education Directorate of the Canton of Zurich, the Office for Youth and Career Counseling is responsible for the services in the field of child and youth welfare as well as career counseling. Children, adolescents, and families are at the center of our work. We dedicate ourselves to them daily with great passion and commitment.
On behalf of the government council, the AJB offers consultations for children and adolescents between 10 and 18 years old in acute psychosocial crises in a initially limited project until the end of 2030. The service supports young people and their families quickly, easily, and on short notice to find sustainable and viable solutions.
As an intern, you will learn to counsel young people in acute crises and their families. You will work in a networked manner and in close cooperation with professionals from social work, schools, and child and adolescent psychiatry in the Canton of Zurich.
Your tasks
- Counseling young people and their families in acute psychosocial crises, both in our counseling center and in external settings
- Taking on your own cases with professional guidance and support
- Organizing suitable follow-up solutions if needed
- Networking with professionals and services in the field of child and youth welfare in the Canton of Zurich
