About the job
Your new role
In your new role as a Specialist in Integration, you actively contribute to promoting and further developing intercultural coexistence in the city of St.Gallen. You are the central contact point for questions regarding integration, participation, diversity, racism prevention, radicalization, and interreligious dialogue. In doing so, you coordinate the municipal integration policy in cooperation with the federal and cantonal authorities within the framework of the cantonal integration program. You network internal administrative and external actors, promote professional exchange, and drive joint solutions forward. With your commitment, you support civil society initiatives, accompany projects, and make an important contribution to equal opportunities through targeted contributions.
This position is for you if you
- are enthusiastic about actively shaping intercultural coexistence in the city of St.Gallen.
- enjoy working solution-oriented with different actors, think across departments, and possess high social competence.
- are experienced and motivated to develop projects and organize public events.
- are familiar with local conditions and needs and ideally come from the city of St.Gallen.
- have a tertiary-level degree (FH/University) in Social Work or Social Sciences or a comparable qualification with a focus on migration/integration.
- have already gained experience in the public sector or a comparable environment.
- have a confident command of German; additional language skills are an advantage and very welcome for this position.
