Project Manager Regional Development
Office for Economy and Tourism | 80-100% | Chur
At the Office for Economy and Tourism (AWT), you will face diverse tasks at the interface between politics, economy, and society. The department Regional Development is responsible for coordinating and implementing various funding programs for regional economic development, processing funding applications and projects, and contributing to strengthening the regions of the canton of Graubünden as attractive living and economic areas.
We are looking for a Project Manager Regional Development (80–100%) for the Regional Development department starting February 1, 2026 or by agreement.
Your area of responsibility
- You are the contact person for cantonal funding programs, especially the New Regional Policy (NRP) and the funding concept for ultra-high broadband expansion.
- You process funding requests and are responsible for controlling funding projects and service contracts.
- You participate in coordinating regional management and professionally support regional developers in the regions.
- In cooperation with the department head, you take over the management, further development, and controlling of funding programs as well as strategies to strengthen the competitiveness of the canton and the regions.
- You support the Regional Development team with administrative and operational tasks related to regional development and the implementation of regional policy.
What we expect from you
- University or university of applied sciences degree, e.g., in business administration, economics, economic geography, or regional development, ideally with professional experience
- Strong interest in economic contexts as well as in the economic and political affairs of the canton of Graubünden
- Confident German language skills and knowledge of another cantonal language
- Analytical and strategic thinking as well as experience in applying project management methods and tools
- Structured, precise, and independent working style
- High social competence, confident demeanor, and skillfulness in oral and written communication
