Testing Lab Engineer

We are currently hiring an Engineer for a Testing Lab to join our client's team in Neuchâtel.

Start date: ASAP (to be discussed)

Full time temporary contract (indefinite duration)

Employed by Randstad and working onsite for the client.

YOUR MISSION

• Define, prepare and coordinate testing activities on Electronic Devices.

• Report results of testing activities.

• Create and maintain planning of testing activities to execute in three different laboratories.

• Manage sourcing of consumables used for testing activities.

• Develop, maintain, and improve data tracking files to monitor operational activities across all labs.

• Train operational staff across all labs on new technologies, new types of Electronic Devices to test, or new process to apply.

• Act as owner of lab equipment ensuring maintenance, validation, and calibration.

• Support continuous improvements of lab systems and processes for Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), efficiency, and quality.

• Budget management and productivity improvement for the lab equipment, mechanical parts, and technologies to ensure smooth operational execution and enhance efficiency.

YOUR PROFILE

• Completed bachelor's or master's degree in engineering (Mechatronics, Automation, Software, Chemistry or equivalent).

• Previous lab experience and/or experience in product development is an asset.

• Self-organizing, able to prioritize workload, and manage a variety of technical projects.

• Keenly driven with a mindset for continuous improvement, and pride in their work.

• Analytically minded, good problem solver, able to deduce conclusions/propose solutions from a variety of data inputs.

• Excellent skills in Microsoft office, specifically Excel.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to communicate effectively and express technical and sophisticated concepts at different levels of the lab organization (Lab Technician, Lab Supervisor, Engineers).

• English Fluent and B2 level in French.

• Good mechanical understanding and experience, electronic knowledge is a plus.

• Any experience with relational database management system (SQL, Postgres) is a plus.

• Highly motivated and curious individual, eager to work on-site in the lab for at least 4 days a week.
