As a Breakfast and Banquets Supervisor, you will have the opportunity to work with passionate teams and participate in prestigious events on the Riviera, offering unique and special service to our clients, while ensuring every detail is perfect.

Summary of Responsibilities :
Reporting to the Manager La Palmeraie / Banquet Maître d'Hôtel, the essential responsibilities and functions of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Consistently provide professional, friendly, and engaging service
- Replace the Maître d’Hôtel or Manager during their absence
- Supervise (manage, train, motivate, recognize, and develop) staff
- Demonstrate autonomy and ensure good communication within the team and between relevant departments
- Manage the team, inform staff of hotel events, and conduct briefings before and debriefings after events
- Check the events of the day and upcoming days and prepare events in collaboration with relevant departments (kitchen, stewarding, florist, administration, etc.)
- Organize your service, give instructions (setup, tidying, cleaning) and ensure they are followed
- Know how to use Silverware and check the bill before presenting it to the client
- Control all equipment used in the department (functionality, cleanliness, storage)
- Ensure rooms are presentable at all times, even during periods of non-use
- Ensure event setups are done within deadlines and meet client requests, taking standards into account
- Ensure clearing and resetting of rooms are done properly after events
- Ensure every client is treated with attention, greeted kindly upon arrival and departure, and served with care and respect
- Handle client requests or complaints promptly and in accordance with procedures and regulations
- Ensure staff are knowledgeable about hotel and regional events
- Demonstrate autonomy in managing staff working hours on call (optimizing productivity, flexible start times)
- Participate in weekly department meetings
- Know, apply, and ensure application of LQA (Leading Quality Assurance) technical and emotional standards
- Establish action plans with the Maître d’Hôtel and Manager following results from Opinion Survey, LQA, VOG (Voice Of Guest) and ensure follow-up and results
- Participate in performance evaluations after probation and annually for staff
- Participate in recruiting department staff using the SMART RECRUITER system
- Participate in establishing the department’s turnover and implementing actions to exceed it
- Daily check of staff appearance and ensure cleanliness of each
- Update your profile on Ines
- Participate in an annual evaluation interview with your Manager
- Be flexible and cooperative in all circumstances, especially when collaborating with another department on a temporary basis
- Commit to the quality of your service, discretion, and perfect honesty
- Maintain a professional attitude, be smiling, and remain calm at all times
- Respect ergonomic work standards, health & safety rules, hygiene, and sanitary prescriptions
- Respect department and company policies, procedures, and service standards
- Any other tasks as assigned
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- 1 year of experience in a supervisory position
- 3 years of experience in catering, especially in breakfast service and banqueting
- Written and spoken mastery of French and English
- Knowledge of a third language is an asset
- Recognized diploma in service
- Experience in 4* or 5* hotel is an asset
- Knowledge in oenology is an asset
- Ability to manage large events
- Knowledge of Silverware tool is an asset
- Previous experience with a point of sale system (POS system)
- Ease with computer tools (Office Pack)
- Team supervision skills
- Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility in scheduling
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to focus on client needs while remaining calm and courteous at all times

VISA REQUIREMENTS
To work in Switzerland, the candidate must hold a Swiss work permit or be from an EU-17 or EU-8 European country.
