What to expect

• You ensure the reliable operation and management of our specialist applications and supporting software tools (primarily Python as well as in Access & Excel and Access-VBA & Excel-VBA).
• You work with our systems and perform data imports and exports, data processing, calculations as well as professional and technical checks. You also carry out the technical month-end closing.
• You analyse errors and irregularities in the software tools (primarily Python as well as Access/Excel and Access/Excel-VBA), identify causes, make configuration adjustments and work closely with the developer to resolve them.
• You analyse professional requirements and develop sustainable solutions in the software tools in collaboration with the relevant stakeholders.
• You support the team in digitising and optimising processes as well as in the targeted use of modern technologies and AI-based solutions.
• You create ad-hoc evaluations and develop smaller automations and aids, for example in Access with VBA, Access without VBA, Excel with VBA, Excel without VBA or with Python.
• You actively participate in the further development of our core system in an interdisciplinary development environment.
• You take on support tasks and have the opportunity to eventually act as deputy for the responsible developer.

What you bring

• Completed training or further education in computer science, business informatics or a commercial basic education with several years of experience in an IT-related environment.
• Very good knowledge of Python as well as knowledge of Access with VBA, Access without VBA, Excel with VBA, Excel without VBA.
• Knowledge in creating SQL queries (e.g. SQL Editor in Access).
• Several years of professional experience in the life insurance environment or in occupational pension provision, or in a comparable insurance area.
• Interest and willingness to delve deeply into contract structures, insurance products and technical components of life insurance.
• Enjoyment of working in an interdisciplinary team as well as interest in professional software development.
• Strong analytical thinking skills and the ability to structure complex issues and communicate them clearly.
• Independent, reliable and solution-oriented working style with a high degree of personal responsibility.
