For our 1,400 employees from around 40 professions, the successful social reintegration of offenders, the prevention of recidivism, as well as the detention and preparation of the departure of persons without a valid residence permit are of particular importance.
Security is no accident, it is a decision. You work strategically and operationally – ensuring that standards and concepts not only exist but are effective in everyday life.
Your area of responsibility

- You advise main departments and specialist areas on security-related issues and accompany the implementation on site
- You plan, coordinate, and evaluate tests and exercises (lessons learned, action planning, updating the foundations)
- You coordinate cross-departmental security concerns, moderate exchanges with stakeholders, and ensure a reliable flow of information
- You are responsible at the office location for the continuous optimization of central security measures including fire protection, occupational health and safety
- You take on the role of Chief of Staff in the JuWe crisis team
What you bring
- Federal professional certificate (FA) as well as further training at CAS level or higher (e.g., DAS/MAS/MBA)
- Qualification in the security field: training/experience e.g. from police, military, civil protection or technology/construction and/or specific further training in security, risk or crisis management
- Experience in creating/reviewing security and emergency concepts as well as in planning/conducting risk management activities
- Structured, independent working style with a high service and solution orientation
- Very good analytical, conceptual and editorial skills as well as confident German (spoken and written)
- Resilience, quick situational assessment and confident communication – also in demanding situations
- An additional qualification as a security officer (SIBE) with a focus on fire protection as well as occupational safety/health protection is an advantage – or willingness to complete this – as well as experience in staff work
What we can offer you
- Meaningful work in the challenging environment of correctional services and reintegration – with high relevance for society
- Plenty of scope for creativity: You bring in ideas and implement them effectively together with stakeholders
- Further training: internal offers plus support for targeted external professional training
- Central workplace at Altstetten train station, regular assignments in the institutions, home office possibility within the framework of operational guidelines
