Job Description
As Business Intelligence Lead, you will be accountable for defining and executing SCOR’s enterprise-wide reporting strategy, establishing robust governance for self-service and centralized reporting, and acting as product owner for our BI platforms. You will lead the simplification and migration of a fragmented reporting environment, collaborating with business, IT, and executive stakeholders to deliver a unified, efficient, and governed reporting framework. The role requires navigating complex stakeholder landscapes, driving change management, and fostering adoption of innovative solutions such as AI-powered reporting and natural language query capabilities. You will ensure the right balance between business empowerment and control, supporting better decision-making and operational efficiency. Your leadership will be critical in building a sustainable, flexible, and future-ready reporting ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute the enterprise reporting strategy in partnership with business, IT, and executive stakeholders.
- Establish and operate governance frameworks for triaging reporting needs, balancing centralized and self-service reporting.
- Act as product owner for SCOR’s BI stack (Power BI and Palantir Foundry), shaping product vision and managing delivery with BI engineering teams.
- Lead the phased migration and rationalization of existing reports and tools into target solutions, eliminating duplication and inconsistency.
- Champion the adoption of emerging technologies, including AI-driven features such as natural language queries and automated insights.
- Drive change management initiatives, including stakeholder engagement, training, and communication to foster adoption and business empowerment.
- Ensure the right level of controls and guardrails for critical and audited reports, supporting compliance and data integrity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine processes, link reporting to meaningful business activities, and continuously improve the reporting ecosystem.
- Monitor and report on progress, risks, and outcomes to senior management and steering teams.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a product owner in business intelligence, analytics, or reporting transformation programs.
- Demonstrated success in designing and operationalizing reporting governance frameworks in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
- Strong track record of driving change management and user adoption for new reporting tools and processes.
- Familiarity with Power BI and understanding of ontology-driven platforms such as Palantir Foundry (hands-on experience a plus).
- Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to influence all organizational levels.
- Background in financial services, insurance, or reinsurance preferred.
- Strategic thinker with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
- Outstanding communication skills, able to articulate vision, strategy, and technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and deliver results in a dynamic, evolving environment.
- Quantitative bachelor’s or master’s degree (e.g. Physics, Data Science, Engineering, Economics) or equivalent
