gaw is a non-profit organization and has stood since 1987 for professional and sustainable work and residential integration for people with predominantly psychological impairments in the Basel region. A diverse team of around 100 professionals contributes in the areas of retail/production, gastronomy, housekeeping, packaging and shipping, commercial professions as well as housing to integration with around 230 supported work and training places and 35 semi-supported residential places.
Are you looking for an exciting challenge in retail with an interesting, unusual social additional task? To complement our team in the Migros partner branch Wasgenring in Basel, we are looking immediately or by arrangement for a versatile and committed personality as Department Manager: Dairy 100%.
Your tasks - versatile & meaningful
- Training and support of apprentices as well as employees with performance impairments
- Management of the assigned dairy department including ordering, weekly activity planning, pre-ordering of promotional goods including seasonal assortment and compliance with Migros guidelines
- Representation of the fruit and vegetable department during their absence
- Regular journal entries in the Abacus system about the progress of training and coaching
- Conducting internal QM training
- Occasional cashier duties
- Opening and closing the branch
Your profile - professionally competent & personally committed
- Completed basic training in retail EFZ, mandatory in the food sector
- Willingness to work from 10:30 a.m. to 7:45 p.m. or 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Basel area
- Several years of professional experience in the food sector and ideally in the fresh produce area
- Joy, patience and understanding in dealing with people with performance impairments
- Independent and responsible way of working
- Leadership experience and experience in apprentice training, ideally with a vocational trainer course
- Numerical flair, solid IT skills (SAP, Abacus, Outlook, Word)
