The "UniBE International" department implements and supports international programs and initiatives of the University of Bern. These include student and faculty exchanges, the Welcome Center, and international summer schools. The department also ensures the presence of the University of Bern in the international higher education and research community, among other things through membership in international university networks and the conduct of scientific diplomatic visits.
Tasks
- Support the team with ongoing administrative tasks (SEMP/Erasmus, management of UniBE International)
- Manage the housing offers of the Welcome Center www.wohnungsinserate.unibe.ch
- Prepare and carry out events and excursions for international students and researchers (occasionally also in the evenings or on weekends)
Requirements
- Enrollment at the University of Bern
- Preferably at an early stage of studies
- Workload to be distributed over 2 to 3 days (in consultation)
- Interest in working in an international thematic environment
- Service orientation & teamwork skills
- Independent working style and flexibility
- Very good German and English skills; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage
- Confident handling of common MS Office programs as well as affinity for the digital work environment and social media
- Advantage: CMS knowledge
