WinGD is looking for a

Development Expert Combustion

Responsibilities:

• Develop new thermodynamic and combustion concepts for WinGD 2-stroke engines by applying fundamental understanding of engine mixture formation, ignition and combustion
• Use simulation tools to support technology application and engine tests
• Design and integrate combustion system components into engines
• Define engine thermodynamic layout and engine tuning parameters by performing hands-on testing on engines in laboratories and at licensee site world-wide
• Define and maintain engine performance data based on simulations and testing results
• Support customers and licensees with inquiries

Requirements:

• M.Sc. or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar with Chemical/Combustion/Thermodynamic background
• Know-how related to (2-stroke) engine thermodynamics, combustion and turbocharging
• Experience with engine combustion system development
• Knowledge of one-dimensional simulation tools
• Experience in testing of internal combustion engines
• Handling a wide range of tasks in parallel
• Ability to communicate effectively with both internal & external customers
• Open for traveling (mainly Asia)
• >5 years of relevant experience desirable
• Good command of English language (written & oral), German appreciated
