Head Physician of Gynecology and Obstetrics (100%)
Profile:
The person must be able to work independently and interdisciplinarily, for the needs of the Gynecology and Obstetrics service, under the supervision of the chief physician.
They carry out autonomous outpatient activities, assist assistant doctors in managing emergencies, outpatient cases, and requested consultations. They independently or with assistants handle cases of requests for pregnancy termination in collaboration with the Sexual Health Counseling Center (COSS).
They are autonomous in managing the delivery room, assist other specialists in gynecology and obstetrics in managing emergencies, urgencies, and complications.
They are capable of independently performing operating room activities and assist and support other specialists in gynecology and obstetrics in performing interventions, managing emergencies, urgencies, and complications.
They have a role of responsibility in training assistant doctors and medical students within university activities, actively participate in the training of care staff. Professional classification will be evaluated based on academic qualifications and proven professional experience. Possible professional development opportunities will be assessed.
Necessary requirements:
- Completed specialization in Gynecology and Obstetrics (or equivalent title recognized by MEBEKO)
- Obtaining the Free Practice license issued by the DSS Canton Ticino
- Work experience in clinical gynecological/obstetric settings, both inpatient and outpatient
- Initiative spirit, strong relational and communication skills
- Organizational skills and predisposition to interdisciplinary collaboration with a view to continuous improvement of the Service development
- Flexibility and positive attitude, enjoyment in working in a team and collaborating transversally
- Flexibility and availability to work also at other EOC locations
- Good knowledge of Italian and English, useful knowledge of German and/or French
