What to expect
- Leading and developing an engineering team with a focus on personal responsibility, technological excellence, and continuous learning
- Close collaboration with product management, stakeholders, and adjacent teams to implement modern solutions in the area of sourcing & purchasing
- Active participation in the design and development of scalable software – from the initial idea to go-live
- Designing and further developing the software architecture including interface design and modular components
- Applying modern architectural concepts such as DDD, SCS, Micro-Frontends, and Data Mesh
- Ensuring high code quality through reviews, pair programming, and structured testing processes
- Optimizing development and operational environments including CI/CD and DevOps practices
- Evaluating and introducing new technologies as well as establishing proven best practices within the team
- Technical risk management and targeted reduction of technical debt
- Even a Friday deployment won't unsettle you
What you bring
- At least 5 years of experience in software development, ideally in e-commerce, with at least 1 year in a technical or disciplinary leadership role
- Deep expertise in modern backend/frontend technologies, cloud architectures, and CI/CD
- Solid understanding of agile software development and confident handling of DevOps approaches
- Experience in building scalable software architectures and implementing solutions in sourcing & purchasing
- Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design, Self-Contained Systems, and Micro-Frontends
- Familiarity with Team Topologies and designing effective team structures
- Strong analytical thinking and pronounced solution orientation with a focus on customer benefit
- Excellent communication skills and a motivating, empathetic leadership personality
- Completed studies in computer science, business informatics, or comparable qualification
- Interest in technological progress and active exchange with the developer community (e.g., open source)
