About us
Our outpatient clinics offer consultations for psychosomatic medicine, with psychotherapeutic treatments being the main focus. We primarily treat affective disorders, personality disorders, and somatoform disorders. Special focuses are eating disorders, trauma-related disorders, pain disorders, psycho-oncology (breast centre), and disorders related to pregnancy and childbirth. Psychotherapies are conducted in individual and group therapies. Social counselling is provided by our social service.
There is close cooperation between the Barmelweid Clinic and its outpatient clinics, so that depending on need, outpatient, day clinic, or inpatient treatment can be provided. In the clinic, psychosomatic medicine and psychotherapy work closely with internal medicine, enabling the treatment of people with multimorbid somatic diseases as well as psychopathological disorders.
