About the job
To strengthen our team, we are looking for a committed, analytically thinking, strong personality to support the business unit management in supervisory issues and in national and international cooperation. In this demanding role, you will also contribute to the further development of banking regulation and coordinate cross-departmental and cross-business unit projects.
Main tasks
- Support business unit management in complex supervisory issues, especially in special situations of high relevance (e.g., preparation of decision-making bases, creating briefings, external communication, contact with supervised institutions)
- Topic coordination, professional contributions, and regular participation in exchanges with the Swiss National Bank
- Participation and representation of the business unit's position in international committees at the Basel Committee level and other high-level national/international exchange formats. Representation of the business unit in working groups is also possible if responsible
- Representation of the business unit's interests in FINMA-internal regulatory developments in the area of prudential risks, shaping regulatory projects, and support in interpretation questions
- Responsibility for the coordination and professional support of cross-departmental/business unit-wide executive board/supervisory board matters
- Participation in international assessments and internal business unit coordination
Profile
- University/University of Applied Sciences degree (Master or equivalent) with a focus on Banking & Finance, Economics or Business Administration, or a related field
- Several years of experience in banking supervision and regulation or in a comparable function and sound knowledge of banking issues and current regulatory topics
- Strong ability to analyze complex issues in a structured manner and to develop well-founded decision-making bases
- Confident communication at various hierarchical levels and in an international context; experience in cross-departmental coordination and stakeholder management
- High initiative, resilience, and flexibility – especially in time-critical situations
- Very good written and spoken skills in German or French as well as English
