Correctional Services and Reintegration (JuWe) is part of the Directorate of Justice and the Interior of the Canton of Zurich and employs around 1,400 staff with diverse professional profiles. JuWe is responsible for criminal and measure enforcement as well as the implementation of various types of detention. For JuWe employees, the successful social reintegration of offenders and the prevention of recidivism are of particular importance.
The Pöschwies Correctional Facility (JVA) is one of seven main departments of JuWe. JVA Pöschwies, with 399 places, is the largest closed correctional facility in Switzerland for male offenders. It fulfills a central state function and, according to legal mandate, is responsible for the resocialization of prisoners and the protection of the public.
Are you ready for a special challenge? Starting immediately or by arrangement, we are looking for a committed, communicative, and resilient team member for a fixed-term position (6 months) in our logistics team.
Your area of responsibility
- Participation in our internal and external logistical activities
- Active support in the team of 5 logistics employees
- Assistance with administrative processing between commercial enterprises, customers, and suppliers
- Monitoring supply chain activities and ensuring smooth cooperation with suppliers, freight forwarders, and internal departments
- Ensuring goods logistics and the internal mail distribution service
- Support in the development and implementation of efficient strategies to optimize warehousing, distribution, and transport processes
- Deployment in various shifts (regular working hours, no late shifts) including Saturdays and public holidays on a 6-week rotation
Your profile
- Training as a logistics specialist EFZ and several years of professional experience in logistics & transport
- Solid expertise in logistical processes, warehousing, distribution, and transport
- Structured thinking and solution-oriented action
- Strong teamwork skills
- Possession of forklift operator license (categories S & R) and driving license category B
- Very good German skills in spoken and written form, any additional language is an advantage
- Good knowledge of MS Office applications
- Minimum age of 25 years and an impeccable reputation
