Head of the Judicial Enforcement Office
Department of Justice, Security and Health | 80-100% | Chur
The Department of Justice, Security and Health, which includes eight services as well as the department's secretariat, performs varied tasks for the benefit of the Graubünden population. One of these services is the Judicial Enforcement Office (UEG). The UEG is responsible for the enforcement of sentences and measures as well as various types of detention. In Graubünden, the enforcement of sentences and measures is regulated as a unified thematic area and overall task, within which various professional figures work interdisciplinarily with offenders, aiming to prevent further delinquency.
Following succession planning, as of January 1, 2026 or by agreement, we are looking for a new head of the Judicial Enforcement Office.
Responsibilities
- Strategic and personnel management of the office
- Coordination of all overarching tasks as well as further development of the office
- Coordination and management of various projects
- Ensuring legally compliant judicial enforcement
- Responsibility for the implementation of federal and cantonal legislation within the area of competence
- Appropriate training and professional development of employees
- Responsibility for budget preparation and cost control
What we expect from you
- University degree (master's or higher), preferably in the legal field, as well as training in conduct or management
- Knowledge in the field of judicial enforcement is an advantage
- Extensive professional experience in judicial enforcement in leadership positions or public administration
- Experience in managing complex projects lasting several years, ideally in systematic change and innovation management
- Strong communication skills
- Affinity for digital technologies and future-oriented thinking
- Knowledge of Italian and/or Romansh is an advantage
