At the Meiringen Private Clinic, people with all forms of mental illness find admission, treatment, and care. The third largest psychiatric clinic in the canton of Bern is open to patients from all over Switzerland and abroad and is responsible for inpatient psychiatric basic care in the eastern Bernese Oberland. Care and support are provided according to the current medical-psychiatric and nursing knowledge.

At the PZJE (Psychiatric Center for Young Adults), we treat young adults aged 16 to 25 with disorders from the entire spectrum of psychiatry with extensive psychiatric-psychotherapeutic treatment. The center includes 30 inpatient treatment places. Treatment is based on the latest evidence-based medical, therapeutic, and nursing knowledge.
Your tasks
- Professional reception and processing of telephone inquiries from patients and referrers
- Coordination and processing of referrals including triage as well as planning of outpatient appointments and inpatient stays
- Verification and obtaining of cost approvals and orders for psychotherapies
- General correspondence work
- Processing reports (admission and discharge reports, medical certificates, cost approvals, etc.)
- Administrative support of the Medical Directorate
- Taking on various secretarial tasks as well as managing email inboxes
- Organization and planning of meetings and minute-taking
Our expectations
- Completed training as a medical secretary or a comparable qualification in the medical field
- Several years of professional experience, ideally in psychiatry
- Socially competent personality
- Very good knowledge of common clinical information systems as well as MS Office
- Confident handling of administrative and medical documents
- Fluent German in spoken and written form
- High sense of responsibility as well as reliable and structured working style – even in hectic situations
- Openness to new working methods and enjoyment of a dynamic environment
- Team-oriented personality with joy in interdisciplinary collaboration
