To complete our team of the Hospitality Service of the Regional Hospital of Mendrisio, we are looking for a Head of Housekeeping

Head of Housekeeping (80% - 100%)

Profile:

The candidate we are looking for has gained solid professional experience as a head of housekeeping in medium/large public or private organizations. The sought figure is motivated and oriented towards interdisciplinary collaboration, coordinates and manages a team of about 50 people, ensuring efficient service organization and guaranteeing high quality standards. They possess strong relational and organizational skills, are attentive to the organizational climate, proactive, and have good problem-solving abilities. They also demonstrate openness to change and innovation.

Required qualifications:

• Federal certificate of competence (AFC) in housekeeping or hotel sector.
• "Head of the hotel sector – housekeeping with federal diploma" or "Federal professional certificate (APF) of Head of the hotel sector – housekeeping" are preferred qualifications.
• Proven experience in the role within the hospital or healthcare facilities is a preferred qualification, as well as several years of experience in team leadership.
• Strong organizational skills with a strong predisposition for interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Good leadership qualities, initiative spirit, and good relational and communication skills.
• Solid technical knowledge of equipment, machines, textile products, current hygiene standards and procedures.
• Ability to economically and rationally manage the resources of their sector of responsibility.
• Attitude towards staff training.
• Autonomy, flexibility, and discretion.
• Availability for flexible work shifts (7/7).
• Good knowledge of the main IT tools.
• Excellent knowledge of the Italian language, spoken and written; knowledge of other national languages (German and French) is desirable.
