Make a difference on a new major railway line (investment > 1 billion CHF) at the heart of a region full of exciting and strategic projects. At SBB, we constantly modernise infrastructure to ensure smooth connections, punctual trains and welcoming stations. After completing the preliminary design, we are currently strengthening our team to reach a key milestone: the preparation of the consultation dossier. Why will you like this position? You will contribute to reliable, safe and sustainable mobility for an entire region while influencing national traffic. This is a flagship project, technically and organisationally ambitious – with challenges such as 5% gradients without rack rails, over 30 km of tunnels and the integration of ETCS Level 2 – offering a rare scale. You will also work in a stimulating environment, within a multidisciplinary team and surrounded by cutting-edge railway technologies.

What you can move.

• You join a growing team and support the programme director to achieve ambitious quality, cost and schedule objectives while ensuring safety.
• On a daily basis, you maintain an overall vision of the project but also manage structures and technical lots (tunnel, track, catenary, ETCS signalling, etc.) while minimising disruption for customers and residents.
• Responsible for coordinating and managing contractors and internal specialists, you ensure the quality of deliverables and compliance with deadlines.
• You prepare and structure the technical dossiers required for building permits, ensuring their regulatory and administrative compliance.
• You define the procurement strategy and conduct large-scale tenders according to public procurement law (LMP/OMP).
• You identify and propose pragmatic and feasible solutions compatible with deadlines and budget.

What you bring.

• Driven by a strong sense of responsibility and solid team spirit, you make thoughtful and factual decisions.
• You also demonstrate excellent coordination and communication skills with diverse stakeholders.
• Through your experience, you have gained expertise in stakeholder management in multi-actor environments. You have a good ability to align divergent interests.
• You have at least 5 years of experience managing complex projects; experience in the railway sector and/or underground construction (tunnel) would be a significant advantage.
• You hold a higher education degree, university or UAS/ETH in a technical field (e.g. civil engineering) or an equivalent qualification.
• You are proficient in French (minimum C1 level); an intermediate level in German (from B1) is an advantage.
