We are seeking a skilled and experienced Storage & Backup Engineer to join our dynamic team.

In today's digital world, data is everything. As a storage & backup engineer, you're responsible for ensuring that critical data is protected, secure, and available when needed. You're essentially the guardian of valuable information, making a significant impact on an organization's success.
Your work directly contributes to business continuity and resilience. Your ability to ensure data is safely stored and can be recovered in case of emergencies helps us to maintain operations, which is invaluable in today's digital landscape.

As an ideal candidate you will have expertise in storage software technologies, backup technologies, and experience in an enterprise environment.

YOUR CHALLENGES:

• Design and implement effective backup strategies to safeguard critical data.
• Manage and maintain backup systems, ensuring timely and successful completion of backup jobs.
• Develop and test disaster recovery plans to ensure swift recovery in the event of system failures.
• Monitor and optimize storage resources to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate with IT teams to integrate recovery processes into overall IT resilience planning.
• Implement security measures to protect backup data from unauthorized access.
• Conduct regular training sessions for end-users and IT staff on data protection and recovery best practices.
• Maintain detailed documentation of backup and recovery procedures, configurations, and incident response plans.
• Actively participate in incident response activities, especially in the event of data loss or
• security incidents.

YOUR COMPETENCES:

• 5+ years’ experience of working as an IT System Engineer or relevant position
• Proven experience in storage and backup recovery role

• Strong understanding of backup software, storage solutions, and disaster recovery technologies.
• Responsible attitude, understanding the critical importance of IT infrastructure.
• Stress resistance, strong communication skills
• Fluent German and English is a must
